The first things to check are your volume settings. Please double check that the app's volume settings are set to loud (settings located in the bottom right-hand corner of the navigation screen), and that your phone's general volume settings are not muted and are on high.
If your volume settings look correct, you may need to force shut down your MapQuest app and reload it. To do that:
- Tap the recent apps (two overlapping rectangles) button at the bottom of your phone
- Swipe up or tap on the X to close MapQuest
- Re-open the app
