If you aren’t a fan of the Ads that we put on the MapQuest Navigation app, you can disable them by upgrading to our ad-free version! For $3.99, you disable all of our Banner and Text ads on the app, leaving you with an uncluttered navigation environment!
How do I upgrade?
- Tap on the Menu icon in the top left corner
- Scroll down and select Settings, then select Disable Ads
- Tap Purchase to upgrade the app
If you’ve already upgraded, you can restore your ad-free environment by tapping the Restore icon, and entering your MapQuest account login and password, or by logging in through Facebook.
Why do I need a MapQuest Account?
A MapQuest account or accompanying Facebook login is necessary in order to transfer your purchase to a new device. This log in helps us protect your purchase, and helps ensure we can restore your subscription to your new device.
Benefits of Upgrading To Ad-Free MapQuest
You might be wondering, what are the benefits of upgrading my MapQuest Navigation App? By choosing to upgrade to Ad-Free MapQuest, you remove the following types of ads:
- NEW! Branded business locator icons in the Layers tab
- Banner Ads which appear above the map
- Audio Ads which auto-play before and during navigation
- Text Ads which appear above your search results when in “List” view
How much does the upgrade cost?
Ad-Free MapQuest is available for purchase inside the MapQuest Navigation App for only $3.99. Your subscription to Ad-Free MapQuest will last a full year from the date of your purchase.
Will I get a receipt for my purchase?
Your purchase will be charged through the Apple App Store, not through MapQuest. Please make sure your contact and billing information is current in the App Store.
Will my subscription auto-renew?
Your in-app purchase of Ad-Free MapQuest will not automatically renew your subscription to the service. However, a reminder will be sent to you with your original date of purchase, telling you that it’s time to renew your subscription. This way you can smoothly renew your subscription on your own time, without interruption.
I have a new mobile device, can I transfer my purchase?
If you created and signed in to your MapQuest account at your time of purchase, you can restore your purchase on a new mobile device. Simply follow these steps to transfer your paid subscription:
- Tap on the Menu icon, located in the top left corner.
- Scroll down to Disable Ads, and tap to select it.
- Tap on Restore.
- If you have not done so already, log in to your MapQuest account, or log in using your Facebook account.
