Why Can’t MapQuest Locate Me?

  • Verify that you have enabled all items relating to location access. To check that your phone has Location Services enabled:
      1. Tap on your Phone's main Settings icon (Please note: This is found on your homepage, not within the MapQuest app)
      2. Tap on Location
      3. Slide Location Services to the ON setting
  • When you first launch the app, MapQuest will ask for Location/GPS access. This access is necessary for the navigation app to work properly. If you accidentally hit Cancel during the prompt and wish to allow Location/GPS access:
      1. Open the MapQuest app
      2. Tap on the Menu Key which looks like three dots (...)
      3. Tap Find Me
      4. This will prompt you to allow Location/GPS access. Tap Allow
